1. Does my student need to be familiar with the IEW method before they begin the class? No previous experience is necessary. 2. How difficult is the High School HonorsClass? Students are expected to allow 1.5 to 2 hours each day of outside class time, depending on their reading and retention speeds. 3. If I have two or more siblings enrolled in a class are they allowed to share textbooks? The IEW books are allowed to be shared and copied for family members only.Students are encouraged to have their own literature book copies because students will be marking them up (writing inside of them). 4. What computer materials are needed for the online classes? Computer or Laptop, printer that has a scanner, Microsoft Word 2007 +, an email account, headset with speaker and Skype account. 5. How fast paced are the composition portion of the classes? In the two Junior High Classes paragraph writing, outlining and note taking are reviewed in the beginning. Gradually add additional paragraphs, constructing thesis statements and formal essay writing. 6. Are books included in the cost of the class? No, a detailed book list will be emailed to you once classes have been established. 7. Are class calendar dates available? Once, classes are established a detailed syllabus for the first semester will be given. The second semester syllabus will be given once payment is received for the second semester.
